A Summery Celebration

I celebrated my 19th birthday on July 7th (7/7/17--crazy right) with a few of my best friends from back home. We picked up sandwiches, kettle chips, and prickly pear flavored soda, and headed out to Stinson Beach, which is a beach in Marin County, California. The drive to Stinson is an experience in itself. To get there, you go through Mt. Tamalpais State Park, which is filled with tall pine trees, and as you drive closer to Stinson, you get an amazing view of the coast. The weather was perfectly sunny with a little bit of a breeze, which is something that isn't very common for NorCal beaches. We set up our umbrellas and blankets, had a little picnic, and caught up. One of my friends baked chocolate cupcakes for all of us, which I ate on top of the vanilla soft serve I picked up at the snack bar we found right off the beach. All in all a sweet day with my gal pals :)
